    The DPA MSS6000 Microphone Summation System 10 x 4061BM, 1 x MSB600, 5 x SSB6000, 5 x DAO0003. Very high quality microphone and preamp system, ideal for up to ten stringed instruments.

    The DPA MSS6000 is a professional microphone and preamp summation system designed primarily for amplifying stringed instruments such as violin, cello and bass in an orchestral setup or other large events. A single MSS6000 system provides control of up to ten sound sources, reducing an entire section of ten down to two channels on a mixing console, thus freeing up many useful and costly channels on the stage box and the console. The whole system is powered by two channels of 48 V phantom power. The complete system consists of five Stereo Satellite Boxes, one Master Sum Box, ten Miniature Microphones (4061-BM), five MSS6000 cables, ten Microphone Holders for Strings and ten Universal Surface Mounts, all supplied in a durable Samsonite briefcase. The system is pre-equalized with hi- and lo-cut for sound reinforcement applications.

Second order harmonic distortion is a beneficial artifact of analog circuits (especially tube and transformer-coupled designs) providing the much-loved warmth. However, often 2 units of the same type will vary in the amount of second order distortion produced, so an additional control for modifying this vintage property is provided. This allows for precise matching of the Liquid Channel to your own beloved mic pre.

    The Liquid Channel combines a highly complex, massively flexible analog front-end with Dynamic Convolution processing, which utilizes lightening-fast SHARC chips and runs at sample rates of up to 192kHz. The front panel controls are digital, with tactile rotary encoders; all parameters can be stored in one of 99 program memories. At the press of button, you can reload all mic-pre, compressor and EQ settings for an individual session. If using The Liquid Channel in conjunction with a recording platform (e.g. Pro Tools), both the session files and the Liquid Channel’s program memory can be sent via standard data transfer methods, providing a completely mobile recording session.

The USB port on the rear panel allows remote control of The Liquid Channel, leaving the processor safely racked away. But that’s not all.
